Amy's Story
I’m a mother of five. Thought I could never be a mother. Was told I could never be a mother. But here I am now with a house full of teenagers and one is out of the house already. I know this has nothing to do with eLearning, but being a mom is my true passion. Helping children, nurturing them, raising awesome kids.
I’ve been married for 17 years to a wonderful man I call Evan from Heaven and when I met him, he had a daughter who was seven years old. We fell immediately in love, got engaged after a few months, got married a couple months after that, and had two children right away! Absolute miracle!
I love being a mom. It makes me feel happier than anything else and so I wanted more kids. I began fostering children six years ago and eventually ended up adopting two more children. That’s how my family grew. After a lifetime of wanting to be a mom and finally getting to be one, I wanted to be there for them and be able to enjoy the entire experience. Throughout Covid they all grew a foot taller and now they’re all teenagers and I realize I only have a few years left of quality time with them in my home. That’s what made it so urgent for me to transition from being an employee to a contractor.
